Jim Steele grew up in a small town in southern Indiana. It was a great place, but just couldn’t hold him. He left home after high school and has traveled about the United States since then. He has always loved the open road, spending some time in an eighteen wheeler, on a Harley, and the rest of it on some roadside bench, scribbling notes and wondering why it all goes so damn fast.

Jim Steele’s style has been described as “raw, disturbing, and powerful”. Yet, he may also leave you feeling comforted, satisfied, and happy. You see, Steele writes in many different voices, and crosses nearly every line or boundary that keep many ordinary writers confined to… well, a dull sort of prose.
