Steele The Spotlight, Violet Voss, Jim Steele, Interview

Steele The Spotlight : Violet Voss

Twitter (now called X) is my home online. It’s where I do business. It’s where I meet new people. It’s where I reconnect with those I haven’t seen in person for a while. It’s where I hang out.

A couple weeks ago Violet Voss DM’d, asking if I was going to be at FetishCon. I’ve known Violet for a little while, so it wasn’t a big deal for her to message.

I said “No, but next year I’ll maybe show up at some point, whether it’s AVNs, or a convention.” She came back with “Darn it, I was hoping to meet with you!”

… I reverted into FanBoi mode for a few minutes after that and so would you.

Most of us guys, at our core, are little more than 14-year-old boys. We’re all idiots, waiting for the cheerleader to ask us out to Prom. I’m the consummate professional, but occasionally, revert to that goofy kid, wondering if people will notice me, or if I’ll ever get to say or do anything worthwhile.

I thought about it for a minute, got my game face on, then messaged back. Turns out, she was interested in doing some promo work, as well as getting a few profiles and photo shoots done.

Fair enough. That’s what I’m here for. It’s written into my job description.

I was super excited to talk with her and get some things in motion. We exchanged a few DMs, then emails, and finally phone numbers.

Violet ended up texting and then calling. Here’s what we talked about.

The Jim Steele Interview with Ellie Murphy

Whenever I consider doing an interview, there are a couple things that I look for. For starters, does the person in question have the drive to continue reaching for the stars; and secondly, does that person have an interesting story.

Ellie Murphy is all the above, plus a little more. She’s also well educated, down to earth, funny, incredibly sexy, and yeah … she’s got the drive that will eventually take her to the top of our industry. Along the way, her story will end up a hundred times more interesting than it already is.

Ellie is the girl next door– if you happen to live next to a gorgeous red head that is ready, willing, and able to do almost anything.

With that said, I have known of Ellie Murphy for a little over a year. Over the course of that time, myself and others have witnessed her transition from camming to doing live scenes, a feat that proves to be difficult for most, if not all who attempt it. The adult industry, from the outside looking in, appears to be wide open– one big, happy family. However, when viewed from within, it is full of cliques, categories, and definitions. This is not an indictment of our beloved group, merely an observation of the way the business operates.

On a rainy Monday evening in December, over the span of a couple hours, Ellie and I chatted on a Zoom call. What I found was a girl who has overcome tremendous adversity in her past and wants to break through those dividing walls, continuing to be a successful and sought-after actress. She eventually wants to combine roles, moving behind the camera and perfecting her vision of what adult entertainment should be.

That’s interesting stuff.

What follows is a transcript of our conversation. Give it a read. Then, give Ellie a follow, check out her fan sites, and if you’re so inclined, contact her agent to get her on your set.

Jim Steele Interview with Pamela Bliss (Artist of John Mellencamp Mural)

Jim Steele (JS) – Today, I’m fortunate enough to have a conversation with Pamela Bliss. I went out on a limb, and cold called her for an interview while she was busy working on her latest mural of John Mellencamp in downtown Seymour, Indiana, which has quickly become the talk of the town. I’d use “The Small Town”, but I’m trying oh so hard to keep this on an even keel, and the fact of the matter is that Pamela has been out and about for many years. She’s arguably one of the most accomplished artists I’ve had the pleasure of meeting, and I appreciate her time and her talent. Through her work, she has helped to make this town, State, country, and even places beyond our shores a brighter place to live. Thanks for taking some time Pamela.
